Soluble and Insoluble
Psyllium FiberLife Force International's Intestinal Tone is the highest
grade of 100% pure Psyllium available. Our natural blend of 80% husks and 20% seeds
provides a balanced mix of soluble and insoluble fiber, both essential for optimal
intestinal health.
Gentle and effective, the soluble fiber from the husks helps absorb and eliminate
cholesterol, fats and toxins that accumulate in the colon. The insoluble fiber from the
seeds provides the bulk needed to promote peristaltic action and eliminate waste while
allowing for improved absorption of nutrients.
Cleansing and Elimination Process
The intestines function as the bodys own waste disposal system. Food in liquid
form flows from the small intestine into the colon for final processing. Here most of the
water and minerals are reabsorbed, leaving the semi-solid waste that is evacuated through
the rectum.
Any breakdown in the intestines natural cleansing process is accompanied by risks
of poor food assimilation and toxicity build-up. In reference to the bodys internal
cleansing process the British Royal Society of Medicine warns, "let it stagnate
and
every organ of the body is poisoned . . .!"
You Need Fiber
Highly refined foods, including sugar and white flour, make us susceptible to
intestinal problems such as colitis, constipation, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, irritable
bowel and Crohns disease. Significantly, these disorders are rare in parts of Africa
where traditional foods provide seven times more fiber than the modern (fast-food) diet.
Intestinal Tones dietary fiber does not provide any measurable nutrients, but it
does help promote health by removing the many toxic materials present in our food. It is
particularly effective when used as part of a complete Colon Cleansing Program that
includes Life Forces Activated Charcoal as a detoxifying agent and Herbal Tabs as a
cleansing agent.
History and Background
Psyllium is a member of the Plantaginaceae plant family, also referred to as Plantago.
Long considered a common perennial weed found virtually around the world, it has been used
for centuries in the Americas. Externally, natives made a mash of the plant and used it to
draw out thorns, splinters and snake venom. Internally, natives used it to treat stomach
complaints.
